NP 530, the first ultrabook from Samsung, is now available for pre-order in Europe. Technical specifications are quite similar with another competitor – Acer Aspire S3. Samsung NP530, the ultrabook that is part of the Samsung Series 5 was announced about two weeks ago. The 13.3-inch NP 530 model comes with an Intel Core i5-2467M CPU at 1.6 GHz and Intel HD 3000 video card. The ultrabook is equipped with 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD and 16GB SSD (hybrid system). I also has among other, VGA port, HDMI, 2 x USB 2.0 and 1 x USB 3.0. Weight: 3.1 pounds (1.4 kg).
Looking closer at the Samsung NP 530 ultrabook, it is very much like its competitor, Acer Aspire S3. There are some obvious differences such as the fact that Samsung’s ultrabook added a VGA port, Ethernet connector, microphone input and USB 3.0 port. Another difference is the battery, the Samsung offers a range of up to 6.5 hours. It is not known yet whether or not the keyboard will be backlit, but the starting price in Europe will be 799 euros.
Samsung NP 530 will be available starting February 21st, 2012. Perhaps its strength is not only the battery and ports, but also the quality of the device. However, this ultrabook might be a perfect gift for Valentine’s Day.
